As God's creations we have been blessed with many wonderful abilities. How we use them is completely up to us. Among these are our abilties for speech, writing and free thinking. We all have the capacity to use them in a harmful manner, but what if you used them to uplift and inspire? What could you accomplish? How many lives could you touch? Never be ashamed of possibly being different and stepping out and using these abilties to their full capacity. It is not about having your name in future history books or in bright lights. At the end of the day, when the end of your life comes, the lives you changed and the people you inspired are the only things that matter. Have you ever had the feeling that you needed to say something or write your thoughts down? You should listen to those feelings. You never know, those words may forever be held in the mind and heart of someone. Your written thoughts may be found by someone and you have no idea whose life you could unknowingly alter. This is all assuming that they uplift and are inspring words rather than degrading words. Many people just need a kind word spoken to them or some encouraging advice. Some only need to see a few lines of written thoughts to get them through their day. So never be ashamed of trying to encourage or simply trying to get your thoughts out there. Wherever you go, rather than gossiping and degrading people, try to encourage people and inspire them to do better and be better. When your time comes to leave this world you won't have to ask yourself what if I had done this, said this, or wrote this? You will only smile and know that you are leaving the world a better place than when you entered it. Be spontaneous, be different and embrace these wonderful abilties. Strive to change lives rather than ruin them. Live a beautiful and memorable life.
I will be the first to admit that I am just as susceptible to crappy days as you are. Things happen in our everyday lives that are not the greatest and it can have an affect on how we view the rest of our day. As humans we automatically let these setbacks effect our mood and how we interact with people around us. How we ultimately respond to negative occurrences is up to us. However, don't judge your day by all the seemingly big stuff that happens. Before you lay your head on your pillow, recall all the little things that made you happy. Was it a smile from a stranger? Was it a hug or kiss from a loved one? How about a short little encouraging text? When we constantly focus on all the big stuff we miss out on all the little things that come into our daily lives. Don't take for granted the days you are given here on earth and definitely don't forget the tiny things that make you smile. These are the things that help us get through this crazy life. So, before you judge how your day was ask yourself, "What were the tiny things that made me smile?" I guarantee that if you do this you will realize that your day wasn't as awful as you once believed it to have been. So keep your head up with a smile on your face and go ahead, face the world head on and enjoy every tiny thing that pops into your day!
What does success mean to you? Is it becoming famous, wealthy or just simply being happy? I have recently been challenged to think about this question and the answer I come to will ultimately decide what path I head down. Am I willing to spend most of my life in school to becoming a doctor and possibly being miserable and missing out on possible relationships or do I choose a path which makes me happy and just allows me to enjoy the wonderful life God has blessed me with? It all comes down to what my definition of true success is. If you are faced with the decision of what you should do with your life, step back and ask yourself what you believe success means. Don't rush into a career choice right after high school unless you know this is what you truly want. Don't stress yourself out if you haven't decided what you want to do with the rest of your life. Schools now a days force high schoolers to know exactly what we want to do with our lives. I personally don't believe this is right. If you haven't decided, take some time after high school to just think about it. Don't rush into college. Wait and listen patiently until you hear that tiny voice guiding you. You don't have to know right now. It's perfectly okay. I bet you haven't had anybody tell you that before, right? Don't worry your pretty little head and just take life as it comes. Enjoy life. Find the beauty in the little things. Smile and laugh at everything because we truly have been blessed with a magnificent world to live in. Go ahead, take a giant leap and live a beautiful life!
